Tire Pressure

How to know and check your tire pressure ?

The very first thing to learn is the precise pressure recommended for your auto tires.

This pressure can vary between the front and rear tires, additionally it is variable depending on the weight or the amount of passengers. The right pressure is normally between 1.8 and 3 bar, one bar is the same as 1 kilogram per cm3. The unit is different, however the result is similar: 2.2 kilos = 2.2 bars!

The valve is positioned on the external advantage of the rim. Access may also be difficult because of the hubcap. Be careful, the steering wheel of an automobile is filthy, especially because of the dirt from the brake pads. The valve is guarded by a little plastic material cap which is screwed on and helps prevent pressure deficits, do not lose this small cap and replace it systematically.

To check on the pressure, place the end of the inflator fully on the valve. Be cautious, there must be no air leakage and the inflator hose should hang on its. If this isn’t the situation, the inflator may be broken, a fairly recurring defect! Change your pressure using both buttons on the inflation terminal to inflate or deflate your wheel. Once the right pressure is indicated by the pressure measure, quickly take away the nozzle from the inflator.

You learned throughout your apprenticeship for a traveling license that you need to boost the pressure by 0.3 bar when hot! If this statement holds true, it will always be very hard to learn the temperature of a wheel, especially with modern vehicles, with respect to the outside temperature and the traveling conditions. So always choose to do a cold pressure check, in other words after a journey of just a little over ten kilometers. Example: cold pressure 2.5 bar / hot pressure 2.8 bar.
